Dylan Colby Lyons, a 24-year-old reporter with Spectrum News 13 in Orlando, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2023 after being fatally shot while covering a crime. Later that day, a shooter opened fire on Lyons and his photographer while they were at the scene of an early morning shooting that resulted in the death of a 20-year-old woman. Who was Dylan Lyons?

After graduating from the University of Central Florida with degrees in both journalism and political science, Lyons went on to work for the television stations WCJB (Channel 20, ABC) in Gainesville and WKMG (Channel 6, CBS) in Orlando.
