He shared a picture of Anthony and wrote “My brother-in-law, Anthony Gerard Ciccone, exited this earthly plane last evening. I’ve known him since I was 15, in the spring of our lives in Michigan so many years now gone. As brother Dave Henry notes here, Anthony was a complex character; and god knows; we tangled in moments, as true brothers can. But I loved him and understood him better than I was sometimes willing to let on. But trouble fades; and family remains- – with hands reached across the table. Farewell, then, brother Anthony. I want to think the god your blessed mother believed in has her there, waiting to receive you. At least for today, no one shall dissuade me from this vision.”

Inside sources confirmed that Anthony had a complex character that was difficult to maintain, adding to his alcohol intoxication. Earlier, Anthony became estranged from his family. He reportedly lived in the streets for several years and accused his family of not taking care of him.

He was also involved in a brawl in 2013, where he was stitched nine times in his forehead. It is believed that due to alcoholism, he became distant from the family. Thus, the closeness in the family faded during those years.

However, in an attempt to regain his consciousness, he completed a rehab program with the support of his family and reconnected with his family in 2017. Although, he was constantly in touch with his family ‌during the last few months. His family further offered to help with the rehab program. But he refused to accept the rehab facility, which could indicate that he was ready to move on.

It is sad to acknowledge that his life was cut short when he decided to live to the fullest. He was recovering and was in the final stages of ‌treatment when he died. His sister, Madonna, or any other family member has not officially responded to their elder brother’s departure.

It appears that Anthony lived a much darker life than the rest of the family as he was negatively influenced by the death of his mother as well as he was widely affected by the alcoholism that compelled him to detach from his own family. While his sister was gaining fame in the music industry, he was struggling in the streets, intoxicated. Reports suggest that alcoholism is the only factor that made his life worse. If not for alcohol, the family would have been more concerned about him.

Despite all that, it is mindful to admit that he reconnected the broken bonds with his siblings. In his final months, his family has shown promising support to retrieve him from alcohol abuse. More or less, he could not have been much grateful for the family during the last rites.
