Who Is Jordan Wike?

Jordan Wike is the son of the Rivers State Governor, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike. Last year, he graduated in law from the University of Exeter, in the United Kingdom. His graduation took place just six years after his father announced the overseas scholarship programs for which he was strongly criticized. Nyesom stated that the state government has insufficient resources to support funding for the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) for overseas scholarship programs.

As of the reports, it is believed that Jordan is currently doing his M.Sc program in the U.K. But, due to the fact that his father has committed some unlawful actions in the last few years, Jordan’s visa could get canceled soon which could even affect his studies and career.

Who Is Jordan Father?

Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the sixth and present Governor of Rivers State was born on 13 December 1967 in Obio-Akpor, Rivers State, Nigeria. He was elected as a two-term Executive Chairman of Obio Akpor Local Government Area from 1999 to 2007. Prior to his role as the sixth Governor, he was appointed Minister of State for Education in 2011 but resigned in order to campaign for the position of Governor.

He started his career in politics in 1999, as the Executive Chairman of Obio Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers. He continued in the position for years and was re-elected in 2003. 

Is Jordan Wike Dead?

No, Jordan is not dead and the claims about his death circulating all over the internet were debunked by the Rivers State Government. The rumors about the death of Nyesom Wike’s only son started circulating over the internet a few days back. As per the claims, it was announced that the boy who is busy with his studies overseas was shot dead in California, U.S. 

With the news getting widespread, the Government came forward and denied the rumors claiming the news was untrue and the boy is alive and healthy. They even added that such rumors are claimed in order to cause panic and confusion among people and if in case such a thing would happen, then the Governor would have made a public announcement by this time stating the rumor was true to its words. 

While investigating the rumor, it was learned that the claims about Jordan’s death arise after a report made on Igbotimes. As of the reports, it was claimed that the young boy was shot and killed in California. The reason for the murder is stated as his father’s involvement in manipulating the recent Presidential and National Assembly elections held in Rivers State.

On Wednesday, Chris Finebone, the state Commissioner for Information and Communication reacted to the trending post claiming the rumor as ‘yet another lie.’ he even added that such rumors or claims are circulated in order to damage and tarnish the image of the Governor himself. He even asked the citizens to reject such rumors that are circulating in the media. 

The statement released by the government even stated that the Governor has no son or child in the United States. They even made it clear that the Governor’s children are safe and doing well and such rumors are just some cheap blackmail for ruining the image of the Governor. 

Earlier last year, Jordan graduated from the University of Exeter, U.K. and the family even shared images from his graduation through social media.
