As of the reports, he was 69 years old at the time of the skiing crash and has suffered severe health injuries, including broken ribs, permanent traumatic brain injury, etc. According to the media outlets, Sanderson attended the Montana School and later went to the College of Montana and completed his bachelor’s in zoology.

In 1973, he attended Pacific College and completed his education in optometry. As of the statements, he practiced as an optometrist in Soft drink Springs, Idaho, and has been in this field for about forty years. Other details, including his personal life, family, and early career, are still unrevealed.

As per the statements submitted in the court, the incident happened on February 26, 2016, and the duo was said to be skiing at the Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah. Sanderson sued the actor, saying she struck him in the back with force. And after she got up, he said, she turned and skied away without saying anything or trying to help him get back. He was left stunned in the snow with serious injuries from the impact of the collision. 

As the case got filed, the actress filed a countersuit stating that Sanderson was the one who is responsible for the crash. She added that she received a full body blow and had to leave skiing halfway in distress.
