Nashville Shooting Transgender: Is She In Jail? Why She Killed Six People?
On Monday morning, a 28-year-old opened fire at an elementary school in Nashville, resulting in the deaths of six people.
Police have identified Audrey Hale as the person they believe to be responsible.
It is believed that a former student opened fire inside the school, resulting in the deaths of four people.
Three children aged nine years old, Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney; the principal of the school, Katherine Koonce, aged 60; and two other adults, Cynthia Peak, aged 61, and Mike Hill, aged 61.
What Happened To Nashville School Shooter Audrey Hale?
This is the 129th mass shooting to have occurred in the United States in the year 2023, a year in which the nation has been struggling for decades with the subject of gun regulation.
According to the authorities, Hale was in possession of two assault weapons as well as a handgun when they conducted their search.
At an earlier news conference, the Director of Public Affairs for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, Don Aaron, revealed that at 10:13 a.m., the police received information claiming an “active shooter” inside Covenant School.
Aaron reported that the shooter had been executed by police at 10:27 in the morning.
She was killed by police following a 14-minute spree at The Covenant School in Nashville.
According to the reports of the police, the victims were pronounced dead after being transferred to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Despite previous claims from law enforcement that the shooter was a female, it has been established that the suspect’s birth name is Hale and that he is a transgender man who uses the pronouns he /him in everyday life. There was no other name provided by the police.
According to her LinkedIn page, 28-year-old Hale worked as a commercial illustrator and graphic designer.
She also contributed to a children’s book about an assistance dog and periodically shared her work online.
During a press conference, Nashville Police Chief John Drake stated that the suspect “identified as transgender,” but he did not specify whether the person was male or female.
When questioned if the identity of Hale played a role in the motivation for the crime, Drake provided the following response: “There is some speculation to that, we’re investigating all the leads.”
On her website, Hale listed “binging on computer games, watching movies, and playing sports” as among her favorite things to do.
She pondered the childlike side of herself and wrote, “There is a childlike part of me that wants to go run to the playground.” “One of my other interests is animals, and spending time with my two cats is a wonderful way for me to engage in that interest.”

According to LinkedIn, which only displays male pronouns, Hale attended the modest art school Nossi College of Art in Nashville and most recently worked part-time as a grocery shopper for Shipt. LinkedIn only lists male pronouns.
Hale attended the Covenant School in the past, but the police haven’t revealed a lot further about her relationship with the institution beyond the fact that she attended there.
According to Drake, a search of her home revealed manifestos and comprehensive maps of the school, which included a breakdown of the various entrance points.
According to the authorities, Hale abandoned his plans to attack another school in the area because the targeted school had too much security.
According to the database maintained by the Violence Project, just 2% of mass shooters in the United States are female, and the shooter who took place on Monday was only the fifth female mass shooter in the annals of United States history.
