Kevin Monahan: Why He Killed Kaylin Gilli? Where Is He Now?
Kaylin Gillis was in the state of New York with three other people on the day that was Saturday.
Investigators said that the incident in Hebron that occurred when they drove into Kevin Monahan’s driveway was an accident.
Ms. Gillis was injured as a result of gunfire that was allegedly fired by Mr. Monahan, 65, at the vehicle as the driver was exiting.
After leaving the house and making attempts to get aid in a nearby town, Ms. Gillis was pronounced dead by paramedics after her friends departed the premises.
At a news conference, Washington County Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy said, “This is a very sad case involving young adults who were looking for a friend’s house and ended up at this man’s house, where he decided to come out with a firearm and discharge it.” The incident occurred when the young people were at the man’s home.
Who Is Kevin Monahan? What Are The Charges?
According to the statements made by Washington County Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy, 65-year-old Kevin Monahan is suspected of opening fire on the vehicle when four companions discovered they had driven into the wrong driveway and were attempting to leave the residence in Hebron, which is located around 50 miles north of Albany.
According to a statement released by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Kaylin Gillis was found to be unresponsive a few kilometers to the southeast of the location of the residence.
Murphy reported that the gang had traveled to the location after being the target of gunfire.
According to Murphy, Monahan had been charged with second-degree murder and was currently being held in the Warren County jail.
Murphy claimed that Monahan fired two bullets at his buddies as they were standing in the driveway from the front porch of his home.

According to what he said, the vehicle was hit by one of the shots.
According to Murphy, there did not appear to be any interaction between the group and Monahan before the firing of the rounds.
He went on to say that there was “clearly no threat” posed by anyone in the car.
Murphy added that the authorities were made aware of the incident just a few minutes before 10 p.m. on Saturday when the companions of Gillis called 911 to report that Monahan had allegedly opened fire.
Murphy added that the location where Gillis was shot is in a remote area that does not have access to a cell phone or internet connection and that the people who were with Gillis had to drive a few miles away in order to call 911.
According to the sheriff, Murphy, a laborer who had been living at the property for a significant amount of time, described Monahan as being uncooperative when the deputies arrived.
Murphy indicated that motivation was still a mystery, and Monahan did not provide an explanation as to why he opened fire on the authorities.
It is not known whether Monahan has a counsel representing him in this matter.
