City of Chula Vista declares Sept. 8 to be LGBTQ Day in the city

his was the first time that Chula Vista, the second largest city in San Diego County, has approved a proclamation to declare an LGBTQ Day in the fast-growing city.

At yesterday’s meeting of the Chula Vista Council, city officials presented a proclamation declaring Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, to be LGBTQ Day in the city. The date coincides with the annual South Bay Pride Art & Music Festival which will be held at Chula Vista’s Bayside Park.

Facebook has seemingly had enough of InfoWars host Alex Jones hate speech and has pulled his pages from their platform because of it. YouTube, Apple, and Spotify have already taken a lot of his programming down. 

Patrolman saves fawn, Twitter pic captures hearts

A picture posted to the CHP San Francisco Twitter page is gaining momentum on social media. It shows a San Francisco CHP officer saving a fawn from the wildfires that scorched Northern California this week. 

The officer is seen holding the rescued animal in Redding, California as the Carr fires burned through the state.
