Rhythm Turner will talk about music and activism at Tuesday's "Coffee & Conversation" at The Center

SAN DIEGO – Musician and social activist Rhythm Turner will be the featured guest this month at “Coffee & Conversation With Cool Women” at The Center.

Turner, the lead singer in the popular band Rhythm and the Method, is well-known for her music as well as her dedication to speaking out against hate crimes.

The coffee klatch will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, at The Center, 3909 Centre St. in Hillcrest.

“Coffee & Conversation” is hosted by Tryce Czyczynska, who interviews notable women in the community during the conversation that is free and open to the public.

Czyczynsk will delve into Turner’s interest in music, yoga, spirituality, activism and more. Coffee and light dessert will be available.

Rumor has it that Turner might even perform a few songs at the event.
