SAN DIEGO -- One of the most anticipated charity events in the San Diego LGBT community is the Martinis Above Fourth Charity Wreath Auction. The eight annual event will take place tonight at 7 pm.
The walls of the popular restaurant and lounge have been covered with wreaths, which have been donated by individuals, community organizations, and businesses, to be auctioned off this evening. Proceeds from the event will be benefit The Queen Eddie Conlon Youth Fund, which provides school supplies, scholarships and housing for LGBT youth in need.
In the past seven years, over $127,000 has been for the fund through this event.
Community personality Lady Ajax will host the event, along with the "Wreath Boys" who will display each wreath.
The event will also include a silent auction.
Admission to the Wreath Auction will be a $10 donation, and those who purchase a wreath or silent auction item will have the donation credited to their purchase.
Doors open at 6 pm at Martinis Above Fourth, 3940 Fourth Ave., Suite 200 in Hillcrest.
