Uptown Community Parking District seeks board members

SAN DIEGO -- The Uptown Community Parking District will hold elections for three seats on its board of directors at 5 pm Monday, Aug. 13.

The vacancies that need to be filled include one residential seat and one business seat from the Bankers Hill/Park West neighborhood, and one business seat for the Five Points neighborhood.

The Uptown Parking Advisory Board is a body of community members and neighborhood business owners who work to address issues related to parking inventory/supply, uniformity of parking allocation, traffic circulation, public information, public transit and comprehensive system management in the Uptown neighborhoods of Bankers Hill, Park West, Hillcrest, Mission Hills and Five Points.

Those interested in the available seats may self-nominate themselves by e-mailing the board secretary John Semerau at easytopark@gmail.com and specify which neighborhood the nomination is for.

The election will take place at Casa Del Prado, Patio B, 1650 El Prado in Balboa Park.
