SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Women's Chorus (SDWC) is seeking an assistant artistic director to support the artistic mission of the growing musical organization.
The ideal candidate should possess musical knowledge and experience with techniques used to rehearse and perform choral music, along with numerous other skills. The position is listed as part-time, 5-10 hours per week, and the selected candidate must be available for weekly rehearsals on Sunday afternoons from 4-7 pm.
Through musical expression, SDWC encourages women’s creativity, celebrates diversity and inspires social action. SDWC is a non-profit community chorus founded in 1987 by women who identified themselves as lesbians and feminists. The group is a non-audition chorus that welcomes all women to sing with them, as long as they can match pitch with piano.
