This week was big in entertainment, the new Renee Zellweger film about Judy Garland released an official trailer and "Endgame" directors confirmed that there will be an openly gay character in an upcoming film. 

It's time to celebrate those people, whoever they may be, we call mom. Mother's Day is this Sunday and there is plenty to do to show our maternal figures that we love them.

But there's also a lot to do the week leading up to their special day. From an EDM party at Flicks, to athletes putting on a special drag show at Rich's, there's never a dull moment. 

The city was still in shock this week after the Sunday morning shooting in a San Diego County synagogue.

The attack left one person dead and several others injured.

This crime sparked concern by City Commissioner Nicole Murray Ramirez who started a campaign to raise money for armed guards to patrol The San Diego LGBT Community Center. 

May showers Hillcrest with plenty of things to do. First off is the Dining Out for Life, a fundraiser for HIV support services at The Center.

Then the neighborhood goes south of the border for an entire weekend of fun celebrating Cinco de Mayo.

This week there was yet another act of anti-LGBT vandalism, this time it was at the Oceanside LGBTQ Center. There is also a milestone in Palm Springs as Jeffrey Sanker's legendary dance festival turns 30.
