Big Queer BBQ is today at SDSU

SAN DIEGO, California -- San Diego State University's (SDSU) Queer Student Union will host this semester's Big Queer BBQ today from 4-9 pm on campus at the Scripps Cottage.

Originally known as the Big Gay BBQ, the popular event has been held on the campus each semester since Fall 2000. Community members are welcome to the event, which typically attracts over 200 students, faculty/staff, and others.

Today's Big Queer BBQ will include free food, entertainment, and dancing. The BBQ will go from 4-6 pm and include an LGBTQ community resource fair featuring organizations and resources from on and off campus.

At 6 pm, the event moves indoors for a drag show with performances by students and special guest Party Drag. A dance party will take place from 8-9 pm.
