Salt N Pepa, Patti LaBelle to headline Long Beach Pride this weekend

LONG BEACH, California -- The season of LGBT pride celebrations in Southern California kicks-off this weekend with Long Beach Pride, May 16-17.

This year's theme is "Color Our World With Pride."

The weekend long celebration includes a two-day festival jam-packed with live performances; the annual Pride Parade; and a special Teen Pride event.

Headline performers at the festival this year include Salt N Pepa from 8:45-9:30 pm on Saturday, May 16; and Patti LaBelle from 8:45-9:30 pm on Sunday, May 17.

Latina pop singer Fey Oficial and east coast rapper Siya are also part of the entertainment line-up.

This year's parade will be on Sunday, May 17 stepping off at 10:30 am, traveling down Ocean Blvd.

On Friday night, May 15, teenagers 13-19 years old are invited to a special Teen Pride Celebration, from 4-9 pm. The event will include a dance party, talent show, resource fair, free food, give-a-ways and more.
