NEWS

The Supreme Court will decide this fall if a baker violated his state's anti-discriminatory law by not making a cake for a same-sex couple. Also this week SCOTUS ruled that same-sex parents are to be listed on birth certificates following the Obergefel vs. Hodges ruling of 2015. 

On Friday, the Texas Supreme Court sent a case regarding same-sex City employees back to a lower court in order to distinguish if those workers are entitled to taxpayer dollars. 

This past week the US celebrated marriage equality, but it appears same-sex marriages have risen only slightly

Locally, dog owners who frequented Grape Street Dog Park became alarmed after three pets mysteriously died upon returning home. Also, a cyclist was struck by a car on University Avenue on Monday, he was taken to the local hospital. 

At the Dyke March event, a day before Chicago Pride Jewish marchers were asked to stop waving their Star of David symbols out of respect for Palestinians. 

A report shows that San Diego drivers are the fifth worst in the country, and a gay San Diego married couple were stopped at the Tijuana border, one was deported because his visa was invalid. 

COMMENTARY

Reverand Irene Monroe contemplates whether the Supreme Court will allow religious business owners to discriminate based on their personal beliefs. 

CAUSES
