Acid Betty from season eight of RuPaul’s Drag Race is celebrating San Diego Pride in Hillcrest at Uptown Tavern.

The acerbic performer is going to visit America’s Finest City to celebrate with the community as she takes a break from her UK appearances.

Always colorful in language and costuming, Betty takes a psychedelic approach to drag.

Often this “hybrid drag queen” is referred to as the contestant that got the “bitch edit” on the show.

Despite her reputation as a fierce and confrontational contestant, Betty has remained at the top of her game and continues to impress audiences with her unique styles and ethereal cosplay makeup which in the past have included “Glamour Pig,” “Lava Gurl,” and butterfly-inspired “The Monarch.”

Always fashionable and creatively clever, she will bring these aspects to Uptown Tavern at 2 pm on July 16 in “Under the Big Top Pride Sunday."

The entertainment transcends the stage with sexy go gos and a meet and greet with Betty.

Uptown Tavern is located at 1236 University Ave, San Diego, 92103 (619) 241-2710
