Hillcrest CityFest is celebrating 35 years as San Diego's ultimate summer art and music festival. The event takes over 5th Avenue from noon to 11 pm on Sunday, August 12, with music, food, DJ's, arts, crafts, and thousands of people still glowing after another record-breaking San Diego Pride.

You can register for a free admission ticket HERE, but those who wish to make a donation or upgrade to a VIP will actually be contributing to the Hillcrest Rainbow Crosswalks Project. That's right it's been announced that Hillcrest is getting rainbow crosswalks and you can help make that a reality.

Donations will be accepted throughout the festival to help pay for the installations.

Musical entertainment is one of the main draws to CityFest every year and this year is no different. A grand stage with live music will keep you entertained from noon - 7 pm, followed by headliner DJ's and talent until 11 pm. An impressive cocktail bar and Miller-Coors Beer Garden featuring Hop Valley Brewing Co.'s Reveal Pale Ale will keep you hydrated while over 250 vendors offer incredible shopping opportunities.

There will also be buskers and street performers including Rad Hatter, Circus Mafia, and Cheer San Diego.

Hillcrest shops and restaurants along 5th Ave, Robinson, and University will come alive with community spirit at CityFest Art and Music Festival 2018, giving attendees a place to dive in and explore.

CityFest’s Artist Village offers one of the largest arts and crafts areas of any San Diego street fair. It’s the place to find one-of-a-kind specialty items and gifts. Booths lining Fifth Avenue and side alleys will offer plenty to peruse, buy and explore. The Artist Village and Artist Alley will be open from noon to 8 pm.

CityFest will stretch seven blocks with over 50 food vendors, a kid-friendly space called The Pavillion with the Rad Hatter, Kids Garden, Carnival Rides, Games, Balloon artist, and The Face Painter! Cheer San Diego, and Circus Mafia along with other street performers will be staged throughout the pavilion and along the entire festival.

And for adults the Miller Coors Beer & Stoli Vodka Cocktail Garden. VIP tickets are available for $35 and give ticket holders access to the Miller-Coors Party Bus/RV.

VIP’s at the cocktail garden will have access to private restrooms, receive two complimentary cocktails, and access to the rooftop deck of the RV where they can enjoy unprecedented views of the festival.

A grand stage with live music and headliner bands will keep you entertained from noon until 7 pm, followed by headliner DJ's and well-known talent until 11 am.
