The 26th annual Halloween celebration benefits San Diego LGBT Community Center and Hillcrest Business Association
Where are all the Leatherfaces, Jason's, Freddy's and Michaels going to be on Saturday, October 27? In Hillcrest for Nightmare on Normal Street, of course, to kickoff their Halloween weekend with the rest of San Diego.
Nightmare on Normal Street will take over Pride Flag Plaza (at Normal Street and University Ave.) for this annual community fundraising event which benefits both the San Diego LGBT Community Center and the Hillcrest Business Association.
“Nightmare on Normal Street is Hillcrest’s Halloween tradition," said Benjamin Nicholls, Executive Director, HBA. "We’re thrilled to be producing the neighborhood’s 26th Halloween block party and look forward to seeing San Diego’s creativity during our celebrated costume competition. Join us for this all-night spectacle throughout the neighborhood!”
And the neighborhood will be spectacular with late night live entertainment, a costume competition runway, outdoor bars, and the best people watching in all of San Diego.
Inaugurated in 1992, this community celebration took place outside of the San Diego LGBT Community Center. Then in 2014, the Hillcrest Business Association took over as producer of the event, committing to donate 50% of the funds raised during the event to the LGBT Community Center. Since then, the community has adopted this event as the official kickoff to Halloween and has become a major fundraiser for both organizations.
This is a night of trick or treating for adults with so many great costumes; some sexy, some scary, some both. The treats are a little more grown-up than those of your childhood with cocktails and prizes for costume competition winners.
Pre-sale general admission tickets are now available for only $20.
Eat, drink and be scary with our VIP pass for $45, which includes two cocktails, food credit, private restrooms, and private stage viewing.
Ticket prices will increase to $25 for General Admission and $55 for VIP on the day of the event.
Use code SDPIX18 to take $3 off your ticket price at checkout.
This event is 21+ and attendees must present a valid ID upon entry.
