Out & About: The Start of Summer is Going to be Bananas Edition

There is less than a month left before San Diego becomes a Pride-goers mecca for its annual Pride festival. But there is still plenty to do before then including a WTF-style party called “This Night is Bananas.”

So take this next few weeks to get out and enjoy the calm before the glitter storm by visiting the Porto Vista Hotel for a social get together, or a comedy show at the Finest City Improv or even one of San Diego’s many drag shows.

Get Above It All

The Porto Vista Hotel has always been one of the gems of San Diego. It’s a place for the community to spend some time, have some drinks and socialize just before the weekend. This Friday SDPIX Presents Top of the Bay at the Porto Vista Hotel and it’s the perfect place to meet friends, have a special cocktail and listen to some awesome tunes before all the weekend fun begins.

The Drag Of It All

Although Drag Race is one of the more popular reality shows about drag queens, there is another that takes that concept to the fringe; Dragula! This week theDivas at Rich’s get freaky with Dragula winner: BIQTCH PUDDIN’! Drag Monsters and a whole lot of crazy are comin’ out to Rich’s San Diego.

Finest City Improv is partnering with San Diego Pride to bring you our 4th annual Impride: An Improv Comedy Festival with Pride, benefiting San Diego Pride.

The festival features three days of LGBTQ+ related improv comedy teams, featured shows, workshops, yoga classes, and parties. Impride: An Improv Comedy Festival with Pride at Finest City Improv is offering a welcoming and safe environment for the LGBTQ+ community and this festival celebrates that shared pride!

Summer Has Begun!

Burgers and Beer Bust at the San Diego Eagle is from 4 pm until they run out of food. Domestic Beer Mugs $2.50. Burgers, Hot Dogs, Veggie Burgers with all the sides!! Sometimes we will have Chicken and RIBS!!! $3.00. This event will be hosted by Mr. San Diego Eagle 2019 MYLES.
