I remember every time I met a new, attractive guy my age, there were instant butterflies in my stomach as we went on dates and explored this “new” gay world together. I remember going to movies with dates and the nerves filled my body as I decided whether or not to hold their hand and our hands kept “bumping” into each other.
This free event also includes pizza, snacks, beer and beverages for all attendees while enjoying fun games, conversation and friends. Be sure to check-out the popular Live Trivia game, too, which will be guest-hosted by Walter Meyer this month.
Sometimes the number of events taking place within our community gets tiring — even for the most seasoned of socialites — but I remind myself how fortunate I am to live in a place and be part of a community (since I was 16 years old, nearly 20 years now) that offers me such a wide variety of options to mix, connect, meet new people, and to raise funds and support for great causes.
Guys, Games & Grub, The Center's popular monthly social event for men, presents its latest edition on Wednesday night, Dec. 2. The event hours have been slightly changed effective this month, with the doors opening at 6 pm until 8:30 pm.
The next GGG is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 7, which includes free pizza, beer, wine, soft drinks, games, prizes, and more. The Center has over 100 board games available to choose from, or participants can bring their own.
The Hillcrest Town Council (HTC) exists to share and discuss with our neighbors a variety of topics of interest throughout the year. Our September meeting focused on health, and gave participants the opportunity to learn more about the two major hospitals in Hillcrest, UCSD Health and Scripps Mercy.
