Disney will put openly gay character in "Jungle Cruise" feature

Disney casts Jack Whitehall as openly gay man in "Jungle Cruise."

Disney is set to introduce audiences to its first openly gay character but some in the LGBT community aren't taking kindly to the news. 

Actor Jack Whitehall has been cast to co-star in Jungle Cruise, another Disney adaptation of one of their amusement park rides. 

The film stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt and will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.

'Beauty and the Beast' will have gay love subplot
