Free parking for Taste of Hillcrest

If you’re wondering where to park in Hillcrest on Saturday, April 13 for Taste of Hillcrest,  look no further than the DMV lot at 3960 Normal Street. 

The lot is free for public parking from 6:30 pm – 3 am on most nights. 

Also, there will be free shuttles running along the tour route, including a stop at the DMV lot.

Stops will be listed on your ticket.

Hillcrest-wide new parking enforcement hours shift

The new Hillcrest enforcement hours will be from 10 am to 8 pm, Monday through Saturday, Sundays &Holidays excepted.

The Uptown Community Parking District, with support of the Hillcrest Business Association, is shifting parking meters and time-limited parking enforcement hours to best meet the needs of those in Hillcrest.

The current meter enforcement hours in Hillcrest, will shift forward by two hours with mornings now free up to 10 am.

More parking meters may be coming to areas of Hillcrest, Mission Hills

The 1000 and 1700 blocks of University Avenue may get metered parking.

The Uptown Community Parking District (UCPD) may be installing new parking meters in and around Hillcrest as early as spring 2017.

There are six parking districts overseen by the UCPD: Hillcrest, Downtown/Centre City, La Jolla, Mid-City, Old Town, and Pacific Beach.
