An Indianapolis woman has been charged with felony child abuse for spanking her child with a plastic coat hanger, but says she was well within her right to do so because of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). 

Seventh Circuit mandates gay marriage for Indiana

The day after the U.S. Supreme Court let stand the gay-marriage ruling by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the appellate court today issued the Baskin mandate ordering Indiana to legalize same-sex marriage. This is a mere formality, but a necessary legal move to ensure that the red state follows the law.
