A bi-partisan group of Senate and House members today introduced the fully inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which would prohibit most employers across the country from discriminating against LGBT workers.
First lady Michelle Obama speaks at packed luncheon honoring LGBT elected officials, saying: "Our president, my husband, has stood strong for the values of freedom, justice and equality that make this country great."
So today, as we observe World AIDS Day, it is painful to watch the divide grow even larger in the LGBT community. But there is always hope. Hope that a new generation steps up to the plate and hits a grand slam for LGBT equality.
