National LGBTQ Wall of Honor to be established inside Stonewall Inn

The Imperial Court System is partnering with the National LGBTQ Task Force and will be unveiling the National LGBTQ Wall of Honor at the Stonewall Inn on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

The International Imperial Courts of the U.S.A, Canada, and Mexico, and the National LGBTQ Task Force are currently accepting nominations for a joint project -- the establishment of a National LGBTQ Wall of Honor to be located inside the historic Stonewall Inn in New York City.

The Nominations are being accepted until March 25th.

Let us never ever forget that 20 years ago on this day, Matthew Shepard, A young student at the University of Wyoming was beaten, tortured, and left to die

This week marked the 20th commemoration of the torture, lynching and ultimate death of Matthew Shepard. The 21-year-old was tied to a barbed wire fence and left to die on a cold Wyoming night. 

Nicole Murray-Ramirez, Queen Mother I of the Americas, has released a special message on this day of remembrance.

Empress Jose Julio Sarria remembered on fifth anniversary of his death

City Commissioner Nicole M. Ramirez has called Jose Julio Sarria "The Rosa Parks of the Gay Rights Movement."

This past weekend Commissioner Nicole Murray Ramirez flew to San Francisco to attend memorial events on the fifth anniversary of the death of LGBT activist Empress Jose Julio Sarria. 

In 1961 Sarria, a World War II veteran, made history when he became the first openly gay candidate to run for public office (San Francisco Board of Supervisors).

Nicole Murray-Ramirez presented Northern California mayors with civil rights awards

OAKLAND, California – This past Friday at the Alameda Ducal Council annual coronation, Queen Mother of the America’s Nicole Murray-Ramirez presented Oakland Mayor Libby Schaff and Emeryville Mayor John Bauters with the International Jose Julio Sarria Civil Rights award.

The Imperial Court fed over 600 people in San Diego this Thanksgiving

 Imperial Court de San Diego raises spirits to those who may not have anyone during the holidays.

Every year the Imperial Court de San Diego helps to feed the community during the holidays and this year was no exception. On Thursday both The Court and The San Diego LGBT Community Center (The Center) hosted the 29th Annual Scott Carlson Thanksgiving Community Dinner & Food Drive.
