Rock 'n' Roll Marathon to impact traffic on Sunday morning

The annual Rock 'n' Roll Marathon is one of the largest such events in the City of San Diego and will take place on Sunday, June 5. While the race is a lot of fun, it is known to cause major road and freeway closures throughout the city.

Many people know to just stay home on that morning until the race clears, but for those who can't, it's important to know which roads are impacted.

Jim Winsor’s Out & About: 2 am Sunday tow time set for Saturday night revelers in Hillcrest

This Sunday morning the annual Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon is once again scheduled to be jogging through our gay nightlife district, down University Avenue in Hillcrest. And as in past years, this means that the street will be cleared of parked cars, by tow truck if necessary, after a set time, which this year has been fixed at 2 am.
