Get ready to go green this week as the community celebrates St. Patrick's Day. There are plenty of events to test your luck and see some gorgeous leprechauns serving up Erin go Bragh realness. Transgender Day of Remembrance around San Diego

Transgender Day of Remembrance around San Diego

Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR)  is a day started in 1999 by Gwendolyn Ann Smith who began a vigil to honor the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed a year earlier.

Since then it has become an important day to honor all of those who have been murdered just for being who they are. 

Tantrums and Tiaras 2017 contestant profile: Marshall Alexander of #1 Fifth Avenue

(Editor's note: "Tantrums and Tiaras: Battle of the Bar Queens 2017" returns on Sunday, Feb. 19 at Observatory North Park. The show is an over-the-top drag competition where representatives from some of the community’s bars with little or no drag experience compete for the crown. The event benefits the programs of The San Diego LGBT Community Center.

Eight San Diego non-profits are in the running for a $20,000 grant

San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E) is going to be giving one San Diego non-profit organization a $20,000 grant based on your votes.

Earth 8, SDG&E and the San Diego River Park Foundation are celebrating eight of San Diego’s most influential organizations which focus on community, environment and humanity.

Guys, Games & Grub is Wednesday night at The Center!

Dozens of men and friends gather at The Center on the first Wednesday of each month for Guys, Games & Grub (GGG).

The fun social event includes includes pizza, beer, wine, soft drinks, games, prizes, and more. Hundreds of board games are available to choose from, or participants bring their own.
