For 40 years, The San Diego LGBT Community Center has served the community. With humble beginnings, it is now one of the largest such centers in the nation - and it will celebrate its four decades on Saturday.
Unveiled in 2011, the wall recognizes LGBT veterans with ties to San Diego who have taken the oath to serve our country and have done so honorably, and with distinction, acting as role models in advancing equality.
The Friday the 13th-themed event will feature fashion, fun, food, live performances, a silent auction, prizes and music to raise funds for the HYC, which is San Diego's only drop-in center for LGBTQIA youth.
The new computers in The Cyber Center are equipped with full software packages needed for a number of functions, including MS Office, Pagemaker and Photoshop. A new printer is available for use as well.
The San Diego Human Dignity Foundation (SDHDF) approves a second-year grant of $25,000 to The San Diego LGBT Community Center to support their Senior Services designed to improve the quality of life for LGBT seniors in San Diego.
