It was a short week this week as we rang in the new year. But there was plenty to report on both locally and nationally including new scooter laws that went into effect and San Diego Pride getting you pumped for this year's festival with presale, discounted tickets.

SD Pride announces dates and theme for 2019

Winter has barely begun and San Diego Pride is already looking forward to summer. Today Pride's Executive Director Fernando Z. López announced the theme and date of next year's festival.

The Stonewall Riots, a pivotal point in LGBT activism, marks its 50th anniversary in 2019 and Pride is honoring the event. 

A message from SD Pride for Veterans Day

Each success builds on the next, and each moment garners national visibility, all helping to educate and break down barriers.

Some of our movement’s earliest pioneers like José Julio Sarria, the first openly LGBTQ person to run for public office in the US, and Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man elected to public office, served in our country’s military before ever leading our community.

LGBTQ Youth Leadership Academy comes to San Diego History Museum

San Diego Pride announced today the return of the annual Youth Leadership Academy (YLA), being hosted at the San Diego History Center. YLA is a fun, inclusive, and intense day that includes historical context, LGBTQ resource education, team-building activities, and panel discussions that inform and motivate participants to be successful in all that they do.
