The president of the San Diego Women’s Chorus isn’t joking when she says the group has a BIG show coming up. The SDWC will perform alongside the Indigo Girls, and they plan to raise money for a great cause: the Lesbian Health Initiative Fund of the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation.
The San Diego Women's Chorus (SDWC) will perform a fundraising concert in May featuring well-known American folk rock music duo the Indigo Girls. The news of this performance was first announced to the audience at SDWC's winter concert held this past weekend.
The audience will be treated to favorites like "That's Life" (Smash version), "When You're Good to Mama" (Chicago), "For Good" (Wicked), "Stardust" and others. Other features include a Russian folk dance, a cha-cha routine and wandering puppets.
DIVAS celebrates women artists who are powerful, confident, and known for challenging norms and taking risks. A showcase of divas from Broadway to disco to soul, this spectacular, crowd-pleasing concert has something for everyone.
The Dec. 8-9 concert features music from favorite divas from the last several decades, including Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan, Aretha Franklin, Adele, Dolly Parton, Lesley Gore, Cyndi Laper, Donna Summer -- and a few unlikely divas, as well.
