Here is everything we covered in SDGLN this week.

Pride month is in full swing and so are the celebrations. Many cities are enjoying Pride festivities and with that comes both the good and bad. The good are the many events that commemorate Stonewall, the genesis of the Gay Rights Movement.

Locally San Diego drag queens reach "legendary" status in a new exhibit at the San Diego History Center.

The variety of events for LGBT people and their allies in San Diego seems to grow each week especially during June and July when the city prepares for its Pride festivities. This week it's time to celebrate the limitless talent of local drag queens who have entertained San Diego for decades.

"Stonewall 45: Windows Into LGBT History" recounts story of 1969 uprising

In honor of the historic Stonewall Riots, the Arcus Foundation and the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation have organized "Stonewall 45: Windows Into LGBT History," a walking exhibition in New York's Greenwich Village where the modern-day LGBT revolution first began.

The quiet revolution for marriage equality: Hennepin, 1970

Nearly every LGBT person knows about “Stonewall,” the spontaneous resistance to police intimidation of LGBT patrons at the Stonewall bar in New York City in June 1969.

Relatively few know about Hennepin in May 1970.

San Diego Sqooterheads to host scooter roundup in honor of Stonewall

Tonight, the San Diego Sqooterheads will participate in the first Stonewall Anniversary Scooter Roundup. Up to 100 LGBT scooter riders will meet under the Hillcrest Pride Flag and cruise around the neighborhood to commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the event that is said to spark the modern day gay civil rights movement.

San Diego Remembers to commemorate Stonewall Riots

The event will include a hosted champage bar from 8-9 pm June 28 sponsored by Autumn Houston Salon, a toast, music, treats and a chance for community members to come together and learn more about its past.

Heart & Soul: Becoming visible

Life, thankfully, is changing for us in the LGBT community, whether conservative fundamentalists like it or not. A lot of the change for us has to do with our being willing and able to raise our hands and say “yes, I am.”

COMMENTARY: Separate but equal is never equal – ever

A civil union is not a marriage and does not offer the same legal benefits, dignity and respect as a marriage - just as separate but equal was never, ever equal. It was, and is, merely – separate.
