These restaurants are participating in "Taste of Hillcrest"

Taste of Hillcrest is on Saturday, April 13 from noon to 4 pm. 

This weekend Hillcrest is transforming into a buffet of neighborhood flavors. Ticketholders for Taste of Hillcrest on Saturday, April 13, will enjoy the great San Diego weather and go on a self-guided tour of the community, meeting business owners, fellow San Diegans and sampling some of the best food the city has to offer. 

Free parking for Taste of Hillcrest

If you’re wondering where to park in Hillcrest on Saturday, April 13 for Taste of Hillcrest,  look no further than the DMV lot at 3960 Normal Street. 

The lot is free for public parking from 6:30 pm – 3 am on most nights. 

Also, there will be free shuttles running along the tour route, including a stop at the DMV lot.

Stops will be listed on your ticket.

'Taste of Hillcrest' returns this Saturday

Taste of Hillcrest draws in hundreds of curious culinary visitors

Hundreds of people descended upon Hillcrest this weekend for the annual “Taste of Hillcrest” event.

Nearly forty of the Hillcrest’s best restaurants, cafes and bars participated in this year’s tasting expo.

Eateries were located throughout the heart of the neighborhood and extended from Third Avenue, down University Avenue, ending on Park Boulevard.

Uptown Outlaw at Uptown Tavern is the new Thursday night hotspot

Plenty of fun to be had at Uptown Outlaw every Thursday

Uptown Outlaw at Uptown Tavern is the new Thursday night party hotspot in Hillcrest with a western twist.  

With rotating celebrity hosts, rugged cowboy GO GO boys and contests with over $500 in cash and prizes, it’s the perfect place to pony up and have some fun at the end of the week.

Taste of Hillcrest to feature local microbreweries

New neighborhood restaurants Sloppy’s Burritos, d Bar and Salt & Cleaver will be joining in on the festivities this year, and some of San Diego’s leading microbreweries – Aztec Brewing Company, Stone Brewing Company and Thorn Street Brewery, among others – will have samples available at retailers including Urban Outfitters and Cody’s Home + Gifts.
