The decision is a huge blow to legislator David Bahati, the bill’s author who is cozy with America’s Religious Right fanatics, such as the rabidly anti-gay pastors Scott Lively and Lou Engle.
The bill would criminalize homosexuality and impose death penalties for “repeat offenders/ aggravated homosexuality” and prison terms for gays and lesbians including those who fail to report them.
