Garrett Clayton comes out as gay

Another Disney star has come out this week, this time it's actor Garrett Clayton. The first was "Jessie" star Josie Totah who announced she is transgender. 

Clayton posted the news in an Instagram post because of his upcoming role in a movie about teen suicide called "Reach."

Aretha Franklin dies at 76.

The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, has died at the age of 76 in Detroit. 

The news comes after her family asked for prayers this week disclosing that she was "gravely ill." 

The singer died at her home in Detroit on Thursday according to her publicist and the Associated Press. 

Born Aretha Louise Franklin, she hailed from Memphis Tennessee.

'Designing Women' might be making a comeback

It seems all the great 80s sitcoms are making some sort of fresh comeback from "Roseanne" to "Murphy Brown" and now there are talks of rebooting the popular southern comedy "Designing Women."

Disney will put openly gay character in "Jungle Cruise" feature

Disney casts Jack Whitehall as openly gay man in "Jungle Cruise."

Disney is set to introduce audiences to its first openly gay character but some in the LGBT community aren't taking kindly to the news. 

Actor Jack Whitehall has been cast to co-star in Jungle Cruise, another Disney adaptation of one of their amusement park rides. 

The film stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt and will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.

Aretha Franklin "gravely ill," surrounded by family

Aretha Franklin is reported to have failing health, asks for prayers.

Aretha Franklin's family has told WDIV-TV (Channel 4) that the legendary singer is "gravely ill" and she is asking for prayers on Monday morning. 

News anchor for the station, Evrod Cassimy tweeted out that he had spoken with the family and they confirmed the news.
