Pitcher Sean Newcomb apologizes for homophobic and racist tweets

In another case of a baseball sports star having to apologize for tweets he made in his youth, Atlanta Braves pitcher Sean Newcomb left Twitter because of the many homophobic and racist things he wrote on social media that recently came to light.

Newcomb, 25, was only 18 when he posted the offensive content to his feed. He mostly used a homophobic slur when tagging his friends. 

San Diego offers kids free lunch throughout the City this summer

San Diego offers kids 18 and under free lunches in parks and schools around the city this summer.

This week The City of San Diego started a summer program to feed kids aged 18 and under at parks, recreational centers and schools all around the City. There is no paperwork or identification required.

Like San Diego’s “Out at the Park,” the Boston Red Sox has a Pride night and they celebrated it on Thursday night with LGBT fans and allies. They painted their pitching mound with a rainbow logo and documented the whole thing on social media.
