Promenade coming to Hillcrest according to Councilmember Ward

"The promenade, which will span Normal Street from University to Lincoln avenues, also includes a proposal for more than 70 additional parking space realignments."

The Normal Street corridor has long been the topic of ideas in Hillcrest a lot of which hinder on the approval of not only the community but The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG).

LGBT people arrive in Tijuana after breaking away from migrant caravan

Over 70 LGBT people arrived at the San Ysidro border on Sunday.

About 76 LGBT members of an approaching migrant caravan headed for the U.S. arrived in Tijuana on Sunday, They say they had to break off from the larger group because of harassment and bias.

About 3,600 remaining migrants are making their way to seek asylum at the U.S. border and are due to arrive in about 2-3 weeks. 

Ruth Bader Ginsburg falls, breaks ribs

The 85-year-old Supreme Court Justice is recovering after a fall that fractured her ribs.

Supreme Court Justice and historic icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg fell in her SCOTUS office on Wednesday night and fractured her ribs.

In a statement from the Supreme Court, they say Ginsburg, 85, didn't feel right after going home following the tumble. She was taken to George Washington University Thursday morning for treatment.
