300 march on Hyatt as history convention crosses gay picket line

Close to 300 people staged a raucous demonstration at the Manchester Grand Hyatt hotel in San Diego on Jan. 9, to protest the American Historical Association's decision to go ahead with its annual meeting there rather than honor the gay boycott of the hotel.

LGBT community speaks out: The Board must resign

Several hundred people gathered Sunday night at the San Diego LGBT Community Center at a Town Hall Meeting to discuss the recent misallocation of funds by San Diego Pride Board members, the firing of it's Executive Director for whistleblowing, and the resignation of staff due a lack of confidence in the current leadership.

County receives $4.3 million for homeless projects

More than $4.3 million in funding has been awarded to the County of San Diego to fund local programs that help homeless individuals find shelter and deal with challenges such as mental illness, disabilities and domestic violence.
