They say there are many things far less stressful than moving. But that is how I found one of San Diego's most famous and well-loved community members.

This week there was a variety of coverage in San Diego Gay and Lesbian News. First, police were called into Hillcrest after someone found a dead body on Sunday morning. This week we also celebrated half a century since the LGBT community rose up against authority at the Stonewall Inn in New York, beginning the gay liberation movement. 

There is less than a month left before San Diego becomes a Pride-goers mecca for its annual Pride festival. But there is still plenty to do before then including a WTF-style party called "This Night is Bananas."

Taking a lead from WTF, one of the most outrageous parties in Hillcrest, SDPIX presents Bitch U Ready? This Shit Is Bananas on June 29.

Get ready for a ton of insanity and craziness as party-goers celebrate the off-beat in their most outrageous costumes and wacky outfits.

Pride month is in full swing and so are the celebrations. Many cities are enjoying Pride festivities and with that comes both the good and bad. The good are the many events that commemorate Stonewall, the genesis of the Gay Rights Movement.

Locally San Diego drag queens reach "legendary" status in a new exhibit at the San Diego History Center. 

Some of the world's most famous drag queens are coming to The Pride of Hillcrest Block Party and guess what? You can meet them! 

The variety of events for LGBT people and their allies in San Diego seems to grow each week especially during June and July when the city prepares for its Pride festivities. This week it's time to celebrate the limitless talent of local drag queens who have entertained San Diego for decades.

The spirit of summer arrives at the Porto Vista Hotel with their Pride Month special. 

The hotel itself with its relaxing atmosphere, sophisticated design, and beautiful harbor view will make you remember why you love Southern California this time of year. 

It was a week of remembrance and reflection as San Diego honored the 49 innocent lives lost at Pulse Nightclub 3 years ago. The Center invited guests to visit their altar which displayed the names and faces of the 49 lost lives. The San Diego Gay Men's Chorus also lent their voices to an event honoring Pulse at Flicks which raised money for the Matthew Shepard Foundation.
