Politics or not, we, alongside our committed straight allies, carry on the important work of perfecting our union by challenging the discrimination and the barriers that remain. Pride celebrations do matter.
As a community, it is vital that we treat each other as family and neighbors … even if we do not live near each other. As the GLBT community continues its struggle for equality, we continue to see that we are our own biggest ally!
Emmy winner Jane Lynch and Broadway veteran Matthew Morrison of “Glee” and living legends Lily Tomlin and Carol Burnett will grace the stage at the Gay & Lesbian Center’s 39th Anniversary Gala & Auction on Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel.
We need to be outraged and stand-up against all forms of hate – be it from corporations, groups, or individuals. Luckily, there are a couple of events in this week’s line-up that you can get involved with and do just that.
