San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee (1952-2017)

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee died from a heart attack early Tuesday morning, he was 65.

Lee, the city’s first Asian American mayor has been in office since 2011 after Gavin Newsom stepped down to become Lieutenant Governor of California. After that Lee went on to win the election in November of that same year.
