The Paw Project is proudly sponsoring AB 1230 to ban declawing in CA

Assemblymember Bill Quirk (D-Hayward) has introduced a bill that will end the unnecessary and inhumane surgery commonly known as declawing, for non-therapeutic purposes.

Declawing, also known as onychectomy or partial digital amputation, is the removal of the last toe bones in a cat's paws from which the claw grows.

Transgender Day of Visibility: A day to be seen and heard

You're going to see a lot of people talking about the "T" in LGBT today, as it is Transgender Day of Visibility.

This is a day when trans and non-binary men and women stand up and stand tall in an effort to bring public awareness to their lack of rights and to the Sisyphus type challenges they face every day. 

Special Delivery receives grant from Rob Benzon foundation

Additionally, the Foundation helps individuals through local charitable causes serving youth and LGBT communities where specific needs can be identified.

Special Delivery, a free nutrition services nonprofit organization serving people with AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses such as heart disease, cancer and kidney disease in San Diego, has received a grant in the amount of $5,000 from the Rob Benzon Foundation, announced Ruth Henricks, executive director.

National LGBTQ Wall of Honor to be established inside Stonewall Inn

The Imperial Court System is partnering with the National LGBTQ Task Force and will be unveiling the National LGBTQ Wall of Honor at the Stonewall Inn on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

The International Imperial Courts of the U.S.A, Canada, and Mexico, and the National LGBTQ Task Force are currently accepting nominations for a joint project -- the establishment of a National LGBTQ Wall of Honor to be located inside the historic Stonewall Inn in New York City.

The Nominations are being accepted until March 25th.

Special town hall meeting to be held in Hillcrest tonight

Last Tuesday The Asian Bistro was the site of a gunman's attack, after Stefano Markell Parker, 29, sprayed bullets into the active eatery. Luckily nobody was injured.
