Lindsay Lohan may have found her biggest fan yet – her own newborn son! The Mean Girls actress, who recently welcomed her first child with husband Bader Shammas, revealed in a hilarious exchange with Drew Barrymore that her baby boy has already taken a liking to one of her most iconic roles.

During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Lohan opened up about introducing her infant son to the 1998 classic The Parent Trap, which helped launch her to childhood stardom. To her surprise, the little one was completely transfixed.

“No, really?” a delighted Barrymore exclaimed when Lohan shared the anecdote. “He watched? Oh my god, that’s iconic!”

Lohan confirmed with a laugh, “He was watching it! Riveted, like mesmerized.”

The beloved family comedy, a remake of the 1961 Hayley Mills film, starred a young Lohan in dual roles as separated identical twins who scheme to reunite their divorced parents, played by Dennis Quaid and the late Natasha Richardson. In a classic Parent Trap scene, the twins outwit one another with an epic handclap routine and the immortal line, “You’re just jealous because I’m a real genius!”

While Lohan didn’t clarify whether her son took a fancy to her performance as Hallie or as Annie, she assured Barrymore, “I have footage!”

The proud mom moment comes as Lohan celebrates a major career resurgence following a decade out of the spotlight. In addition to her acting comeback in the Netflix rom-com Falling for Christmas, she’s been hard at work expanding her business empire.

Last month, Lohan teamed up with fellow Hollywood multi-hyphenate Vanessa Lachey for an exclusive photoshoot and interview with Glamour Magazine. The two stars and mompreneurs showed off stunning beach looks as they promoted their successful brands – Lohan’s Cravings makeup and tanning line and Lachey’s successful jewelry collection.

Posing in swimsuits, flowy cover-ups, and glamorous beach looks, the actresses radiated coastal chic for the vibrant pictorial. In the accompanying interview, they dished about managing companies while raising their children.

For Lachey, the balancing act often involves her three kids with her husband Nick Lachey. “At the end of the day, I know my kids are my actual job and the biggest blessing,” she told the magazine. “Everything else is a perk.”

Lohan, adjusting to her new role as a parent, echoed the sentiment. “Having a baby really puts things in perspective,” she reflected. “You learn not to sweat the small stuff.”

Both women say they hope to pass along their entrepreneurial spirit and creative passions to the next generation. Maybe Lohan’s little one will follow in her footsteps as a Parent Trap star one day!

Of course, Lohan isn’t the only celeb mom passing the torch these days. Fellow 90s icon Drew Barrymore recently joined forces with her daughters for an adorable lifestyle photoshoot to launch a new magazine.

In the issue of Drew Barrymore Magazine, the actress-turned-daytime host poses alongside daughters Olive and Frankie in matching floral outfits. The spread celebrates creative mother-daughter activities like crafting, cooking, and painting.

Barrymore gushed to People about the special meaning behind the project, saying, “The photoshoot I did with my daughters for my magazine was so meaningful to me, and I’m so grateful they were willing to be a part of it.”

Between Lohan bonding with her son over The Parent Trap and Barrymore including her girls in her latest venture, it’s a golden era for mother-daughter duo content.

Of course, no mommy-and-me moment would be complete without paying tribute to the OG queens of the genre: the Spice Girls!  The iconic 90s girl group is still inspiring parents and kids over 25 years later with their message of girl power.

In February, Victoria Beckham shared a sweet video on Instagram of herself and daughter Harper, 11, delightfully recreating the choreography to the Spice Girls’ smash “Stop” from their 1997 Spiceworld movie. “Just me and my Baby Bunchin’ ???? x,” the fashion mogul and former Posh Spice captioned the clip.

So whether it’s epic choreography, crafting sessions, or a baby’s first movie screening, Hollywood’s hottest moms are making memories with their little ones. As Lindsay Lohan and countless others have shown, sharing your passions with the next generation is a beautiful way to keep that parent-child bond strong.
