One thing after another, there are so many changes and the list isn’t ending. The latest addition to this list is about Nibel – the popular gaming account shutting down the Twitter ID. So, who is Nibel and why has he decided to take this step?

Nibel Is Leaving Twitter, Can We Blame Elon Musk?

If you are a gamer and love to follow the relevant accounts, you would have a fairly good idea about Nibel. He had a pseudo account – Nibellion. With this account, he garnered a following of over half a million. But there’s sad news for whoever follows him.

Nibel, popularly known as Nibellion is famous in today’s online gaming industry and has more than 500,000 followers. The account has also been known to share the latest news about the gaming industry. He and his million followers learned about the latest news much before anyone else. This also included the news about the release of the new Bloodborne PS5 in 2022.

Whether it was about the recent God of War Ragnarok trailer or a news update about Nintendo Direct, Nibel would be the first one to reveal it. Slowly he became famous and made a name in the gaming industry.

According to recent reports, Nibel has decided that he would take their energy and time somewhere else where it would be more appreciated. Along with Twitter, Nibel has also quit Patreon.

The gamer uploaded a last post on the Twitter account that after careful introspection, the decision has been taken. Now the energy and time would be shifted from Twitter. There would be no active participation on the platform and video game coverage would not come to an end.

This has surprised his followers but another piece of news is in store. Nibel hasn’t deactivated his account but only stopped using it. This is to ensure that the account isn’t used for any wrong activity. Since Twitter is infamous for people impersonating others and trolling others, Nibel wants to keep the account safe.

While talking about why he quit Twitter, a large part of the same was linked to Elon Musk. According to him, Twitter is yet to see someone with good leadership on the platform and Elon Musk is not going to change it. He neither trusts Elon nor Twitter and quoted the “infinite immaturity” quote by the businessman. According to Nibel, Twitter might go through a slow death rather than instantly finishing up. This tweet ended up with 15,000 impressions and now Nibel has officially locked the account.

If we have to observe, the volume of racist tweets has significantly increased after Elon Musk’s takeover. Musk also levied $20 charges for account verification. There’s no doubt that the acclaimed gamer wants to leave the platform.

Another lasting statement that Nibel released was he felt Twitter wasn’t a dependable revenue stream for him. His work was popular and useful for people but he couldn’t generate as much income as he would have liked to. As his fans, we can only wish Nibel good luck for his future and hope to see him back on some social media platform.

Recently, Stephen King, the famous author showed his rage at the $20 fee for a blue tick. Elon Musk asked if $8 was okay. Elon Musk has said and done a lot. It is yet to see what Twitter turns out to be under his leadership.
