Taylor Swift Revealed U.S. Dates For The 2023 Eras Tour

The dates are finally out. Taylor Swift, the American singer-songwriter has finally announced the dates of her much-awaited Eras Tour. As per the announcement, the tour will hit the US stadiums from March 18th onwards and will come to an end in August. Though the show dates in the US have been disclosed, the international dates are yet to be announced. 

As per Swift’s announcement, the US tour will kickstart on March 18th in State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. It’s the same venue where Swift’s “Reputation” tour began in 2018. The first leg of the tour which lasts for four and a half months will be wrapped up at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, California on August 5th. Swift had earlier chosen the same venue for her canceled ‘Lover Fest tour. On the US tour, the singer will be joined by performing artists Paramore, Beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, Girl in Red, Muna, Haim, Gayle, Gracie Abrams, and Owenn. The Eras tour is presented by Capital One.

On November 1st, Swift made the announcement of Eras tour on Good Morning America, an American morning television program that is telecast on ABC. She also revealed that the tour will be christened ‘Eras tour’. The singer shared the announcement on her social media platforms also, both Facebook and Instagram.

As per Swift’s Facebook post, she was enchanted to announce her next tour. She described ‘Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour’ as a journey through the musical eras of her past and present career. The singer went on to add that she is the luckiest person alive as she got an opportunity to take a team of brilliant artists along with her on the tour.

In the FB post, the singer also shared the link to Ticketmaster’s verified fan program for booking tickets. This program is conducted to make sure that the ticket reaches the hands of fans. Registration for the program will close on Wednesday, November 9 @ 11:59 PM ET. To add on, the general public on-sale will begin on Friday, November 18 at 10 AM local venue time.

As in the case of all other major tours by celebrities, for credit card holders there will be an earlier rollout of tickets. In the case of ‘Eras tour’, it is Capital One cards and the sale will start on Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. local time.

The Reputation tour, which was conducted in 2018 was her fifth concert tour and the last one to happen in the last four years. It was conducted in support of her sixth studio album. The singer had earlier plans of going on her sixth concert tour with the proposed title ‘Lover Fest’. This tour was scheduled with the objective of supporting “Lover”, her seventh studio album, released in 2019. However, Swift had to cancel this mini-tour due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Post the release of “Lover”, Swift has released three more studio albums and two re-recordings. They are Folklore and Evermore in 2020, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021, and Midnights in 2022. However, no tours were conducted by Swift for any of them. 

For the first time ever in history, Taylor Swift has turned out to be the first artist to appear in the Entire Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100. She broke the record of Drake, who managed to claim nine of the top 10 in September 2021. All the top 10 songs are from Swift’s new studio album Midnights, released on October 21st.
