Lake Elsinore Shooting Leaves Riverside Deputy Injured, Suspect Arrested

In a tragic turn of events, a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department (RSO) deputy was shot in Lake Elsinore on Friday afternoon. The shooting took place in the 18500 block of Hllldale Lane, and the department has yet to disclose the reason for the deputy’s presence in the area.

The injured deputy was rushed to the Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment, and their current condition is unknown. The suspect involved in the shooting was also taken to the same hospital with injuries. This is the second shooting involving an RSO deputy in recent weeks, following the fatal shooting of Deputy Isaiah Cordero in Jurupa Valley on December 29th.
