Darron Lee, an American football linebacker, was arrested on Monday, April 3, 2023. Lee was charged with two counts of felony domestic brutality.

Darron Lee is an American football linebacker and is currently a free agent. The 28-year-old former player was born on October 18, 1994, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He relocated to New Albany, Ohio, when he was doing his sixth grade.
He was a professional footballer who played for Ohio State and was even drafted by the professional American football team New York Jets. Throughout his football career, he has played for Buffalo Bills, Las Vegas Raiders, and Kansas City Chiefs.

Darron Lee attended New Albany High School, where he started his career in Football. It was from here he started playing as a quarterback.
Besides being a quarterback, Darron Lee even served as a wide receiver, safety, and return specialist. He was one of the best players on the team, who led the team to the state semifinals as a senior, although they couldn’t make it to the finals.
During his college days, he played football for Ohio State. He played for the Eagles and even achieved a record of 9-3 in his junior days. And in his senior days, he concentrated more on quarterback and secondary duties.
Also, he acquired a record of 11-3, which paved the way for him to become the first-team Associated Press Division II All-state.
In 2016, the player announced his decision to join the 2016 NFL Draft through his social media account. As a player, he achieved great levels in the games and was ranked as the second-best outside linebacker.
Darron Lee Career In New York Jets
The former linebacker Darron Lee was selected by the New York Jets during the 2016 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year $10. 22 million contract with the team in the same year.
But by 2019, the team declined the fifth-year option from the contract and made him a free agent by the following year. In 2019, he was traded to the Kansa City Chiefs, and the team won Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers 31-20.
After becoming a free agent in 2020, he was suspended for the first four weeks of the 2020 NFL season.
What Happened To Darron Lee, And Why Was He Arrested?
As per the Franklin County Sheriff’s records, it was informed that Darron Lee allegedly attacked his mother and wife. He was charged with two counts of misdemeanor domestic violence after his wife reported the assault to the police.
From the statement released by the police, it was revealed that Lee allegedly attacked his own mother, Candice.
Also, his wife, Lindsey McGlone, was assaulted at the time. Candice arrived at his home after Lindsey informed her about the insecurity she was suffering while staying with her husband.
Lindsey, the mother of Lee’s two-year-old son, was attacked before and has been suffering domestic exploitation for years. Since she was afraid of informing the police, she stayed quiet.
And when things went out of her hands, Lindsey called the police in Dublin, Ohio. She reported that he assaulted his mother, Candice, and that she was lying on her back with Lee over her with a raised fist.
Candice was attacked by Lee and was hospitalized with facial injuries. According to the statement given to the police by Lindsey, it was not the first encounter.
Darron Lee had been doing this since October, and at that time, he assaulted her, doubting her for cheating. She added that he threatened to kill both his wife and two-year-old son and even said that he grabbed her by the throat and swung her to the ground.
Besides domestic violence, he was suspended from the game three times during his 2017 NFL Career. Also, he was reported to have been involved in an oral dispute at the Governors Ball Music Festival in 2017. But as his teammate pulled him back, the thing never grew big and avoided legal jeopardy.
