Longtime Hawaii Politician Ron Menor Passes Away at 67

Ron Menor, a respected politician from Hawaii, passed away at the age of 67. He was known for his “passionate service” in various elected positions such as the Honolulu City Council and the Legislature. Governor Josh Green announced Menor’s passing, stating that it was due to an “unexpected medical emergency.”

Mayor Rick Blangiardi also paid tribute to Menor, describing him as a “valiant public servant” and “tireless leader.” Menor, who was the son of a late Hawaii Supreme Court Justice, began his career as a law clerk for the Hawaii Supreme Court and later served in the Honolulu City Council, as a state representative, and as a state senator. He is survived by his wife Patricia and sons Benjamin, Andrew and Anthony.
