Five passengers, including three Britons, are believed to be missing from a tourist submarine that vanished in the Atlantic Ocean while being pulled near the Titanic’s parts.
British billionaire Hamish Harding, Shahzada Dawood, and his son Sulaiman Dawood were all on the submarine-like vessel carrying paying tourists to the well-known wreck, located 370 miles off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.
The OceanGate Expeditions ship, which was immediately above the shipwreck when communications were lost and may have 50-70 hours of air left, is in danger of submerging. The US Coastguard is racing against time to find the submarine vessel.
Who Is Hamish Harding?
Hamish Harding is the founder of Action Group, who is also known as a billionaire businessman, pilot, explorer, and space tourist.
He serves as the chairman of Action Aviation, an international aircraft brokerage company in UAE.
The British businessman, Harding, was relocated to UAE with his family because most of the businesses that he owned were based in Dubai.
He is 58 years old and was born on June 24th, 1964. He graduated from Cambridge University with degrees in chemical engineering and natural sciences.
Additionally, he is a skydiver and has business jet type ratings, including the Gulfstream G650, and an airline transport pilot’s license.

In 2016, Harding joined Buzz Aldrin on his historic journey to the South Pole, which made him the oldest person ever to do it.
Hamish Harding and Victor Vesco made history on March 5, 2021, by going down to the Challenger Deep, the Mariana Trench’s deepest point.
In order to set world records for the longest distance traveled at full ocean depth and the longest period of time spent there, they took a two-person submarine to the deepest point in the world’s seas, which is 36,000 feet.

Hamish Harding: The British Billionaire Feared Missing
The tourist marine, which Hamish Harding along with the other four went to see the Titanic wreckage site underwater on Monday, went missing in the Atlantic Ocean.
There are a few renowned explorers on the sub, notably PH Nargeolet, who has made more than 30 dives to the RMS Titanic wreckages since the 1980s.

Before the submarine vanished, Hamish Harding enthusiastically posted on his social media accounts that the trip has started following a period of poor weather in Newfoundland.
The Boston Coast Guard says there is a search underway for the missing OceanGate Expeditions submarine.
Visitors can travel to the submarine’s wreckage for $25,000, which is located 370 miles off the Canadian coast of Newfoundland.
Harding already had a distinguished record of space flight after participating in the Blue Origin mission the previous year.
It was anticipated that the visit to the Titanic would be the most recent in this long sequence of events.
In addition, Harding’s courageous efforts have earned him three Guinness World Records. He was a member of the team that broke the record for the globe’s circumnavigation in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.
After the reports on the missing submarine came out, Harding’s stepson Brian Szasz wrote on his Facebook account conveying his prayers and thoughts for his stepfather and for his mother since Hamish Harding’s submarine went missing and the rescue mission is underway.
