The contact of the vessel was lost with the research container after approximately 1 hour 45 minutes of its dive into the east of the Atlantic.

According to the sources, the vessel has five people onboard. The parent company has, however, confirmed the availability of survival equipment on board. However, it is doubtful if the equipment would be enough for so many days.

The Chief Executive Officer of OceanGate Expeditions has assured that they have put all their assets into operation to search for the missing vessel.

He also revealed that the submersible was made up of Titanium and Filament carbon fiber which had the strength to dive inside up to 4000 meters. There was sufficient provision for safety in the vessels.

Various experts have been included in this mission. One of these researchers, Chris Parry, who happens to be a rear admiral of the US Navy, addressed the difficulties of this mission.

The vessel is caught somewhere near the seafloor, where debris is stacked. The location is quite offbeat and remote to explore. But all the personnel are trying their best to look for any trace that could get them to the right spot.

Hamish Harding booked a ride into the Atlantic with OceanGate Expeditions from Newfoundland to the North Atlantic. The expedition began in May and was to continue till June.

The OceanGate Expeditions booked the Canadian Polar Price for the first phase of the Journey. After that, the passengers had to be transferred to the submersible.

However, the vessel has lost contact for the last two days. The 59-year-old magnate is also one of the passengers who is stuck onboard.
