Melissa Joan Hart says she helped children escape the Nashville shooting.

The mass shooting that took place in Covenant School, Nashville, on Monday, 27 March 2023, has left people speechless. As the public gets over the brutal act by 28-year-old Audrey Hale, Melissa & Joey fame Melissa Joan Hart posted a video on her Instagram after witnessing the horrific attack. 

American actress Melissa Joan Hart couldn’t recover from the fear after what she witnessed on her way to her children’s school. The actress took it to her Instagram on Tuesday, opening up about the incident that has left several hearts in pain.

In the video, the actress opens up that she along with her husband, Mark Wilkerson, helped a group of kindergarteners cross a busy highway to safety. She stated that tiny little kids were trying hard to cross the road after escaping the shooting site.

The couple who were near the location stated that they helped the kids to get to their teachers and parents.

While speaking in the video, the actress can be seen as heartbroken and in tears. She seemed really upset about the horrific situation and couldn’t get over the experience that she had been facing for the second time in her life. 

The video was posted by the actress after the news of the mass shooting became viral in the news and all media. The rash shooting that occurred on Monday took the lives of three children and three adults who were present at the Covenant school. 

Police stated that upon receiving a call about the shooter at the school around 10.13 am dozens of emergency vehicles surrounded the scene and officers rushed inside the school.

After entering they heard a shooting sound from the second floor and reaching there they confronted the shooter and shot him down. The 28-year-old shooter was initially suspected a teenager and later upon investigation, it was discovered that the shooter is a transgender adult

Nashville Mayor John Cooper thanked the first reporters and the officials for their quick response which avoided a massive shooting scene. Even while thanking them, he called the day the worst day for the city. He added that even after a fast response, they lost six lives, which still remains a pain inside everyone. 

The actress Melissa Joan Hart is known for her roles in the sitcoms Clarissa Explains It All, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, etc. She lives with her husband and three sons.

The family relocated to Nashville in 2020 and opened up in her video that the Covenant School mass shooting was not her first experience so close, rather she along with her kids was very close when the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting ‘occurred in 2012.

Her kids used to attend a Connecticut school near the shooting scene which took the lives of twenty children and six adults. 

Hart’s kids didn’t attend school on Monday, but as the couple was on their way to attend a news conference, they confronted the kids who were trying to escape. In the video, the actress states that little kids who were horrified by the shooting sounds were hiding in the woods and were trying to escape from the shooting scene. The duo even helped some kids to get reunited with their mothers who were waiting outside. 

Sabrina the Teenage Witch fame ended the video by asking those behind such horrific and brutal acts to stop such acts. She ended by saying, “I just don’t know what to say anymore. It is just, enough is enough.
